In the summer of 2024, my colleague asked me to consider writing a song for our students’ American Orff Schulwerk national performance, and the song came together in 24 hours. I resonated with the word “choose” and began to think of what choice means to children, and what I hope for all children. With the teaching method of Orff Schulwerk being grounded in singing, dancing and playing, it was easy to add those words. All are welcome to this FREE event at a women-owned distillery in Minneapolis, MN. What a great way to celebrate a year’s work with fabulous musicians and producers, as well as kick off the end of summer! There will be cocktails, mock-tails and coffee in this outdoor space, plenty of parking along Central Avenue and lots of friendly faces as we celebrate my debut album, “Be Human.” (Twitch friends, there will be a surprise special guest at the show whom you will not want to miss!)
